REFEREE ASSESSMENTS:
Below is the process for obtaining an assessment for upgrade to a Regional Referee and for a maintenance assessment if you are already a Regional Referee.
FOR UPGRADE PROGRAM:

Review HERE for all requirements to upgrade to a Regional Referee.

Email SDA, Susan Williamson, to request approval for an upgrade, include an excel spreadsheet of your Game Log with this request.

Once approval is received, work with your assignor to find games that would be appropriate for upgrade.

Email SDA with a request for assessment, including all game information for the game you have been assigned – date, time, location, age group, gender, and/or adult division. You may need to send several emails with game information as you set up your games.

The Assistant Director of Assessment for your area will assign an assessor for your games and notify you when this is completed.

Any out of state assessments must be approved by the SDA.

After passing the assessments and fitness test, your upgrade assessment will be complete and sent to USSF.
FOR MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENTS:

Email SDA with request for a maintenance assessment, including all game information – date, time, location, age group, gender, and/or adult division.

Requirement for Tennessee is 2 passing assessments as a referee – one adult and one U18 or 19 youth game.

Any out of state assessment must be approved by the SDA.

State Cup games will count for maintenance assessments if requested 2 weeks before the tournament. Assessor fee will be paid by the state for these games ONLY.

After passing your assessments and fitness test, your recertification will be complete and sent to USSF.
MAINTENANCE AND REGIONAL UPGRADE ASSESSMENT PROCEDURES:

Referees seeking maintenance or Regional upgrade assessments will submit requests to the SDA.

The SDA will contact the ASDAs, who will assign an assessor (you) to the referee’s game.

Assessor completes written assessment in Game Officials, which the SDA will have access to following the assessment.

To receive reimbursement by the state, you must submit your feedback to the SDA and fill out the Tennessee Soccer Reimbursement Form for approval. Send completed reimbursement form to SDA AND TSRP Coordinator within 30 days of completing your assessment.
